Where and when

Tenterden Choir

This is the largest of the two choirs with over 50 members. It is a fun, lively and very friendly group.

We rehearse on a Monday evening 7pm (Term time) in St.Mildreds Church Tenterden . If you would like to come along please contact Carla first for more details.

Benenden Choir. Thursdays 10-11:30am (Term time) - SANDHURST MISSION CHURCH

The Benenden Choir is a really friendly group of around 30 members. We enjoy singing in a relaxed environment and also love the social side of singing where members like to go for a coffee after the session.

We would usually rehearse in Benenden Church but we have relocated to Sandhurst Mission Church while Benenden Church goes through some renovations.

Please Head to Sandhurst Mission church for this choir.

The Rhythm of Life Phoenix Dementia Choir

Music calms ....music heals.......music reignites!

Music brings old souls together....music brings new souls together...

The list of how powerful and incredible music is for the mind, body and spirit is endless.

We have joined forces with Clara Hebblethwaite who runs The Dementia Experience, an inspirational local Community Interest Company.

With passion and determination we aim to bring joy, fresh life and energy to all those living with dementia.

Whether you are living with dementia yourself or caring for a loved one ...this choir hopes to create a small pocket of calm, reconnection and joy into your life.

We will sing a mix of songs from across the years, chosen specifically to bring energy and feel good vibes. The choir is totally new and so the twists and turns it takes will be exciting.

The possibility of movement and instruments and small performances.....one day......could be in the future of the Phoenix Choir.

But all positive choices that bring joy and awareness to the wider community.

The session will start with a warm up, followed by singing and then an all important natter with a cup of tea and a biscuit!

All are welcome. Please do come along, our sessions are free of charge. ❤️😊🙏

The Phoenix Choir runs in collaboration with the amazing Dementia Experience Charity.

The Dementia Experience is dedicated to guiding and supporting family members of those who have dementia.

Based in Kent, our mission is to generate joyful moments and connection for those that need it the most.

We want make sure no one feels like they are facing the challenges of dementia alone.

We organise a range of events designed to promote community and we offer information-sharing workshops for anyone seeking to deepen their understanding of dementia.

These provide valuable insights and practical guidance thereby empowering family members and carers to better support their loved ones.

Dementia can be an incredibly isolating and emotionally draining experience.

Every situation is unique, with its own set of challenges, however, we firmly believe that by sharing experiences and being part of a supportive community, family members can find immense comfort and strength.
